So 25years ago today (18/11/1998) as a 19 year old with a mix of nerves ,self belief,love and an opportunity I just couldn’t let pass me by I opened my first floristry business a shop in Holt. A wonderful experience not massively profitable (I didn’t understand my worth)but I met some amazing people and learnt so many lessons. Over those 25 years I have always had a floristry business bubbling along in the background while I’ve also had other jobs. It’s a love that’s hard to shake. The industry had changed so much and it’s a privilege to have been on that rollercoaster. Websites were not mainstream when I started now mine is my most valuable shop window. Now I look back with fondness and pride of the florist & the business women I’ve become. Thankyou to all the fantastic friends, family, suppliers, colleagues, customers and couples for all your advice, love support, encouragement and trust. Although I’d only met these great people only once (I had flowered their daughters wedding) I will alway be honoured by the trust they had in me to create a suite of flowers perfect for them and their love story.
